About ARMC FM
Since the 1950s, our program has been dedicated to training Family Medicine Physicians with a focus on comprehensive care and community support.

Early Days
In the early 1950s, with the sponsorship of a General Practice Residency, the San Bernardino County Medical Center committed to primary care. By 1969, the institution was accredited for a Family Medicine Residency Program. In 1999, we relocated to a new hospital, now known as the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, with state-of-the-art facilities and earthquake-safe architecture.
Our Emphasis
Our focus is on graduating family physicians who are not only skilled clinicians across all major medical disciplines but also trained in the psychological and preventive aspects of patient care. Faculty and residents continually reevaluate our curriculum to stay at the forefront of healthcare advancements, ensuring training meets the unique needs and interests of each resident.
What We Offer
Our graduates are highly sought after. As one of the oldest and largest family medicine residency programs, we are well-known for producing capable family physicians. Located in sunny Southern California, our program provides proximity to beaches, mountains, and deserts, offering a unique lifestyle alongside a robust educational experience.
